Inauguration of Bosch joint Automotive Training Program

Based on our prime minister Shri. Narendra Modi's initiative Skill India, we at AVCE are committed to the enhancement of our student skills so that they are readily employable in the industry. In-line with this objective, we reached another milestone in our history.

AVCE and Bosch Ltd., a leading supplier of technology and services in the areas of 
Automobile Technology, Mobility Solutions, Industrial Technology, Consumer Goods, Energy and Building Technology, joined hands to launch the 'Bosch Automotive Joint Certification Program.' We are the first Engineering College in southern Tamil Nadu to have this world class certification program. Students applying to this program will have access to a state of the art Bosch training center classroom and a modern automotive workshop with Bosch equipment inside our College premises. This program was inaugurated on 19.10.2015 by Ms. Sumeeta Suresh, Product Management and Marketing, Automotive Service Solutions, Bosch Limited and Ms. Shweta Wali, Deputy Manager, Technical Service  & Support, Bosch Limited.

Following the inauguration ceremony, a Memorandum of Understanding was signed between AVCE and Bosch LimitedMs. Sumeeta Suresh, delivered a talk about the Industry - Institute Collaboration and the skill gap measures. She stated the importance of skill development in India and also quoted the vision of Shri. Narendra Modi, the prime minister of India. Ms. Shweta Wali threw light on Bosch Automotive Training Program at several places and their outcome. The speaker quoted that there are 50 million passenger cars in India at present and it would be doubled in 2020. hence, the industry of Automobile Engineering needs skilled Engineers and leaders. This was followed by the explanation about AVCE – Bosch joint Automotive Training Program by Mr. Sriram, Project Marketing Manager for Automotive Diagnostic Equipment, Automotive Service Solutions, Bosch Limited. Dr. Leenus Jesu Martin, The head of the Department of Automobile Engineering, SRM Engineering College and a member of Governing council of AVCE, felicitated the gathering and advised the students to utilize the training program effectively. He emphasized on the confidence that a skilled training would provide and also stated that AVCE would be recognized as a regional center for skill development in a couple of years.
